Bangor Arts Exchange: Since it was originally established in 2017, the Bangor Symphony Orchestra and LaunchPad partnered to create the Bangor Arts Exchange, bringing more live music and cultural events to downtown Bangor. Recently, the building that houses BAE was sold to a new property developer. The new owner is planning to rehabilitate the entire block to better meet the needs of today’s downtown space requirements. We are deeply grateful for the support we’ve received for this external project from the community, donors, and everyone involved in BAE. Your contributions made BAE a cherished part of Bangor’s cultural landscape in a very short time. We also want to acknowledge the new property owner, whose generosity and support have been invaluable during this transition. Although we are closing BAE, both organizations remain committed to fostering arts and culture in Bangor. We will continue to support and nurture the arts through our ongoing and new initiatives. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Together, we will continue to enrich Bangor’s cultural scene in meaningful ways.
The BSO offices will remain in downtown Bangor, and our orchestra looks forward to holding all its regular concerts at the Collins Center for the Arts this coming year.
