The Nutcracker Returns to the Collins Center for the Arts with the Bangor Symphony Orchestra
December 21-22, 2024

Bangor, ME – This holiday season, the Bangor Symphony Orchestra brings The Nutcracker back to the Collins Center for the Arts. Featuring the Robinson Ballet and the Bangor Area Youth Choirs, this festive performance is perfect for all ages. Under the baton of GRAMMY award-winning conductor Lucas Richman, the live symphony orchestra will transport audiences into a winter wonderland.

“Families from all over have enjoyed this timeless holiday tradition,” said Richman. “We look forward to once again bringing Tchaikovsky’s magical ballet to Bangor!”

Richman says that both first-timers and regulars to The Nutcracker have many reasons to attend, including gathering inspiration and a little holiday cheer for the whole family. The Symphony Store has many gifts for families, and the Miller cafe will be selling hot cocoa and warm cookies among other sweet treats. Performances will take place on Saturday, December 21 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, December 22 at 3:00 p.m. “This collaboration brings together the region’s finest talent, creating an unforgettable holiday experience,” said Richman. “If you haven’t ever seen the Nutcracker performance in Bangor, this is definitely a can’t-miss opportunity.”
