Weather Update for Concert on February 24, 2019

Bangor, ME — The following is a message from Executive Director Brian Hinrichs:

“BSO staff have been monitoring various forecasts for Sunday, February 24, 2019, the date of our Masterworks concert featuring works by Shostakovich and Schumann. Based on the latest predictions of 3” or less of snow for the greater Bangor area from the National Weather Service in Caribou, we are planning to proceed with the performance and pre-concert talk as scheduled. Please leave extra time for your drive to the Collins Center for the Arts in Orono, and we look forward to an exciting event.

We understand those driving from beyond the Bangor region may be facing a more serious forecast. If you are unable to attend due to travel safety concerns, please e-mail info@bangorsymphony.org with your name, address, and ticket information, and we will be happy to issue a ticket voucher for use at one of our remaining Masterworks programs in the 2018-19 season.”
